Does this surprise you?

So alot of people say excercise (specifically cardiovasvular excercises like running or jogging) is helpful for relieving stress.

I find weightlifting/strength training (which is NOT running or jogging or cardiovasuclar fitness) more enjoyable than running or jogging.

It seems like weightlifting or strength training relieves me from stress more than running or jogging (I feel happier and enjoy lifting weights and doing strength training than cardio).

Does this surprise you?

No, it doesn't surprise me that different physical activities would boost someone's mood or relieve their stress better other than other physical activities. What WOULD be odd, is everyone had the same reaction to the same activity.

It does not surprise me.  We are all different. What works for one won't work for everyone. What works for most won't work for all.

In our patriarchal society, no it does not surprise me. You are exhibiting what many people know as toxic masculinity. Weight lifting only relieves stress in your mind because you are stupid and believe that if you do something you see as soft like running, then you will be judged. Get rid of your prehistoric ideals and you will be less stressed without running or weightlifting.
