External Hard Drive not showing up?

Hello

I have an external hard drive that worked only a few days ago perfectly, but today it doesn't show up at all under the devices and drives. The computer recognizes that it is connected to the PC. It also doesn't show in disk management. I can use minitool partition wizard and it shows up in that, and allows me to access the drive, but not on the computer itself.

I have tried uninstalling the driver but that doesn't do anything. It feels like i've done every tutorial to try and fix it but i have had no results so far

Thanks

There are usually two things with an external drive.  There is the USB controller in the case and there is the hard drive itself.  Sometimes the controller will be recognized but not the HD. This is the case when you plug it into the computer and it says connected (the USB controller) but the HD is not recognized.  Try it on a different computer.  The disk itself may have become corrupt.  I always open the case of the ex/disk and reseat it or try a different HD in the case. YMMV.

Sounds like the latest Windows update did it to you ... see the MicroSoft support pages for assistance.
