If you use PayPal credit do you have to give them access to your bank account?

Also what happens if you’re signed up to PayPal credit and you withdraw their access from your bank account meaning they can’t take money from anywhere apart from you PayPal balance?

I don’t feel comfortable having a company with a one star rating on Trustpilot having access to my bank account so what I plan to do is block them from withdrawing anything from my old account and refuse them access to my new bank account, I will pay them by sending money to my friend and getting them to PayPal me if so basically the minimum amount of money I have to pay each month will be the maximum amount available in my PayPal account and not a penny more. They won’t be able to take any more because they won’t have access to any of my bank accounts 😎

Is this okay or do I have to give them access to at least one of my accounts?
