Edward VIII and the Duchess of Windsor will always remain the most unpopular for causing the Abdication Crisis, but in the last fifty years many royals have gone through streaks of unpopularity--Andrew and Sarah, Charles and Camilla, Edward, Harry and Meghan, all did things that were not taken too kindly by the gossip press and followers. Andrew seems to be the worst because he was involved with the criminal Jeffrey Epstein.

Harry recently went from most popular to least popular in well under 5 years, usurping the Cornwalls. In the entire 50 year span, Charles and the Camilla woman have been unpopular longest. The remarkable upside is that h and Markle are so obnoxious, that even Chares seems less precious and much more self-aware.
