Can someone biopsy a gallstone?
I have huge gallstones and I have to get my gallbladder removed. Do they biopsy gallstones for cancer?

Cancerous growth need to be attached to a blood supply. Gallstones are loose in the gall bladder.

No. Gallstones are not "growths"... they are solid clumps of bilirubin, more like a mineral deposit. (Hence the term "stones.")

There would be no purpose in biopsying a gallstone because gallstones do not contain any cellular matter or chemical indicators associated with cancer.
