Why doesn't the UN do anything about North Korea? ?

Or the Middle East. Where conditions and situations people live in are clear violations of human rights listed by the UN. What can't countries interfere?

Probably because they have given up their day care canter and have let little Kim throw his little tantrums all by himself.

Are you aware that a lot of people feel that the U.S. ignores human rights when they keep prisoners at Guantanamo prison or any other place?  What do you want someone to do in the Middle East? Hasnt the U.S. done enough damage the last 20 years? The U.S. would not allow another military to gain a foothold and decide what to do. Look at Syria and Iraq. U.S. was told to get out but it wont and no one can make that happen.

--  The UN should have interfered back in 1948 when the US violated WW-2 agreements on Korea and illegally created the "Republic of Korea" and installed the right wing military dictator, Syngham Rhee, instead of allowing a nationwide election for the reunification of the Korean peninsular. The UN should have sanctioned the USA at that time. That was the cause of the Korean War

--  The UN was forced into fighting in Korea because the Soviet delegate walked out of the debate in the Security Council and the US forced the other countries to vote with them.  Documents, held by the British and Australian governments, showing it was the south that most likely started the war were not presented.

--  The UN can not violate its own Charter, or the Armistice it signed and invade North Korea.

--  Similarly in the Middle East.  The UN can not violate the UN Charter, various international  agreements and treaties.  Gulf War-1 (1991) was only the second UN sanctioned  war while all others have not been sanctioned, and are illegal under UN rules and international law and agreements.

--  The US government has been the cause of a number of conflicts in the Middle East, as have been several Arab nations and terrorists in Palestine.

The country has been cut off from the REST OF THE PLANET.  Ignoring them has been the most effective.

China is right next to them and they stand a good chance against the US army even. China won't back up North Korea if they strike first but they will if they are invaded. China doesn't want bombs dropped right next to them, understandably.

There's not much anyone can do about DPRK without killing millions of people, the best that can be done is hope the regime eventually implodes on itself as for the Middle East israel is the main obstacle to peace in that part of the world and the west has done enough interfering and killing in that part of the world
