- 1 month agoHeya, If Samantha earns $225.00 for 6.25 hours of work her hourly rate is 225.00/6.25 $ per hour let x = the number of hours she has to work to earn $918.00 x * the rate per hour = 918 x(225.00/6.25) = 918 by solving we find by solving we find x = 25.5 hr
- roderick_youngLv 71 month agoMy process for solving this would be first to find the hourly rate. 225 / 6.25 ; multiply top and bottom by 4 900 / 25 ; multiply top and bottom by 4 36 / 100 = $3.60 / hour 3.60 looks like it has a factor of 9, so it's an easy division to do 900 / 3.60 = 100 / 0.4 = 250 250 hours accounts for $900, leaving $18 left over. 18/3.60 = 5, so 5 more hours of work 250 + 5 = 255 Of course, with a calculator or computer handy, someone can just type "918 / (225 / 6.25) ="
- ?Lv 71 month agoIf Samantha earns $225.00 for 6.25 hours of work, her hourly rate is $36. (225/6.25=36). To earn $918.00, she will have to work 25.5 hours. (918/36 = 25.5)
- jacob sLv 71 month agoAnswer is 25.5 Samantha earns $225.00 for 6.25 hours of work. That means : Earning in 6.25 hours = 225 Earning in 1 hour = 225 / 6.25 = 36 Thus Samantha earns $ 36 for 1 hour of work. We have to find how many hours must he work to earn $ 918.00. Let us assume that , To earn $ 918 .00 , He has to work x hours. So, x * 36 = 918 x = 918 / 36 = 25.5 Hence Samantha must to work 25.5 hours to earn $ 918.00. Please Rate!!
