How long does it take the rock to travel 99 feet?

A rock is dropped from a building. The equation below gives the distance, d, the rock travels in t seconds.

d=t2+2t

    d=t2+2t

    99 = t² + t

    t² + t -99 =0, then use Quadradic Equation:

    t ≈ 9.46 s

    Just solve 99 = t^2 + 2t.
