whats the best way to get to kangaroo island from adelaide south australia even just for a day?

It's not worth going for a day, if you drive than catch the ferry it will take you over 2 hrs each way.
The ferry is going to cost each person $100 return and about $200 for your car, i can't see the value for one day, you can fly or go by coach but i don't know what that costs.
