If a child had a seizure and now won’t wake up and you’re stuck in a traffic jam, what do you do? ?

I saw a video of a man picking his daughter up and ride on the back of a motorcycle that sped and served through traffic almost getting into an accident just to rush her to the hospital.

Is a seizure that serious to risk the person life racing to a hospital like that??

Or should you just wait for help even if it takes an hour?

No way to answer as every scenario is unique. Call 911 for sure, but many seizures will stop. It is important to make sure the airway is open. Biting tongue not that important or common. Airway far more important. Rushing someone seizing on a motorcycles has a whole lot of other dangers including airway closure as they cant be positioned.

You can do far more harm trying to ride a child on the back of a motorcycle then if you just wait the seizure out.

Pull over make sure the child doesn't bite their tongue.

And call 911 with your GPS turned on they will locate you
