How can America, or perhaps the developed world for that matter, stop the flow of military tactical technology to civilian markets?

To do this we would have to recognize that we have no psychological need for it.

Why?

The state militias are supposed to be able to back up the regular army, thats another reason for the right to bear arms.

Actually, most of what YOU think is military technology that has reached the civilian markets is actually civilian technology that is also used by the military.

Military tactical equipment saved my life from a sinking boat..

It saved my life from an armed robbery attempt

It kept burglars out of my house.

It protected my baby from the impact of a car that didn't see me..

It saved my baby from somebody at the gas station popping off rounds for no reason..

It saved my life when my heart stopped..

It saved me in a hurricane.

It kept me very warm in sub zero temperatures..

It got me home at night, out of the woods.

It helped me, to help somebody else get out of their crashed car..

It allows me to be much better prepared for things not going as planned..

And to carry things I never would before carry..

It's excellent stuff..

But the the thing is.. it better be excellent stuff that never fails..

The bottom line is, this really comes at a price...

That price, is civilian society.

The entire reason I have this stuff, is to answer the south and west...

Which makes a cycle.
