Should I feel guilty about receiving money from a distant ancestor?

I have a distant and relative from Germany who passed away and apparently knew the existence of myself here in the United States. He left me a life-changing amount of money, not only life-changing but jaw-dropping.

Why would you. How fortunate you are to have this bequeathed to you. Just feel grateful, I know I would.

    Take it and enjoy yourself.

As long as that person didn't acquire the money through dubious means, there really isn't any reason to feel guilty.

Did you receive the information by e-mail?  This is a very common scam to get your personal information.  Do some research to find out if this is really your relative.

Honestly, you have been given a wonderful gift, why ruin it by feeling bad?! :-)
