NO WAY. I divorced him for a reason and there's no way in the world I'd ever remarry him...........besides, he passed in 2016 - so I don't have to worry about this anymore.

We met about 38 years ago working at a resort hotel and restaurant in the Sierras. We hit it off and started to hang out away from work and became good friends. We both worked there for a couple of years when the place sold and we didn't want to work for the new owners. We decided that instead of saying goodbye and each heading out to find new employment elsewhere, that we would pool our resources and live together awhile and see if our friendship endured. It did, and we've been together ever since.

Health insurance (we're Americans). We had been together for 5 years or so, and he wanted to get married. I thought it was just a piece of paper and not a big deal. Then I developed pneumonia, and didn't have insurance and couldn't afford to see a doctor as a result. I had a fever of 105 when I managed, after a week, to finally get an appointment at a free clinic where I was diagnosed and given a three-day supply of antibiotics for a small fortune. My husband pointed out that if we got married, his employer-provided insurance plan would cover me. So we for married. That was 29 years ago. And we still have health insurance.
