How can I solve x and y to prove that this is a paralellogram?

Since this is a parallelogram, the center line cuts across two parallel lines, alternate interior angles are equal:
4x + 24 = 124
3x - y = 28
Solve the 2 equations for 2 unknowns:
4x = 124 - 24
4x = 100
x = 25
3(25) - y = 28
-y = 28 - 75
y = 75 - 28
y = 47
