I really fecking want them to try and win it - they've been the unluckiest English football club in Europe out of the 'traditional giants' ( Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton) imo.
Arsenal missed out on the UEFA Cup in 2000 , losing 4-1 to Galatasaray in the final
and then lost 2-1 to Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League Final
and more recently two seasons back, they lost to Chelsea in the Europa League Final 4-1.
I'd like to see an English club win it - either Arsenal or United.
