does 5g data eat up less hot spot?

When I use my 4 g hotspot for 4k it eats up a lot of my hotspot data . Would switching to 5 g make a difference ? I know it would increase my internet  speed but would it eat up less of my hotpsot .

It may, as 5G is faster you can download more data in the same length of time. So you might download more stuff without realising

What you use is not based on the speed.  It is based on how much traffic you send over the hotspot.  If you send 5 mb of data over the hot spot, it uses up 5 mb of your data allowance.  Where it goes at the speed of 4G or 5G makes no difference.  How much of your data allowance it uses should be the same.

The data consumption is the same.
