Why should we still have to wear a mask on public transport when I've never heard of anyone catching covid on public transport?
And pubs, restaurants, clubs and churches don't, even though near all community transmission has been in these venues, is this how you care for us Gladys?
@Zirp: it wasn't alway compulsory and still nobody caught covid!
@old timer: "prevention is better than cure" works on pubs, restaurants and clubs too, I'm not agianst wearing a mask, but this is stupid.
@sunsine_mel: you're the type of owned, where you'd wait for the lights to change at 2.30 in the morning before crossing the road and you'd be wearing a mask, I'd be right?

How about you never heard of anyone catching covid on public transport BECAUSE all those that were infected and contagious WORE A MASK?

what do you want to wait until somebody has been infected before you wear a mask, prevention is better than cure, take a step back and think about it.

According to the "official" statistics there has never been a confirmed case of somebody catching the virus on public transport.
Week after week, month after month, and now its moved on to year after year they publish a list of transport routes on which somebody who was infected travelled, then in the days and weeks after......nothing....not a sausage... not with all those hundreds of thousands of trips each day.
Governments are just being careful, unfortunately they consistently aim at the wrong targets in the wrong place.
As you say, the places where most virus cases are transmitted do not require face-masks (actually I think you have to wear one in church now?)
You get what you vote for, isn't it just fabulous living in New South China?
