Had power outage washing machine does not work with outlet it was plugged into , but when I change outlet it works , I checked fuse box too ?

Fuse box?   Boy,  that is an old house.    Check for a GFI switch on the outlets,  sometimes they hook a few together and the GFI is not on the one that you are looking at.  

Multiple things are possible: 

One side of AC line coming into the house is still dead. 

The circuit breaker could be tripped or defective. 

Is the washing machine plugged into a GFCI (GFI) protected receptacle? 

I still come across receptacles that use the "stab in" the back wire connection process.  Those are dangerous.  The wires need to be fastened to the receptacle on the sides under the screw heads. 

I've been chasing dead/defective house wiring for years.  It's amazing what I find! 

Somebody with a voltmeter and some electrical knowledge and logic needs to find the problem.

Either the socket is GFI protected or there could be another plug that tripped that is GFI.  It is almost always near a sink or water and has 2 buttons, one to test , and one to reset.

you need a new socket , get an electrician .

Reset the GFI on the socket. Many are designed to trip on power failure.

If that doesn't work, replace the socket. 

in the breaker box, turn the washing machine breaker completely to 'off', wait 10, then turn it back on.  this fully resets a breaker -- simply pushing it to 'on' does not after it has gone off.  if this does not remedy the issue, you need a handyman or electrician to diagnose the problem [it is beyond your capabilities].  -- grampa

Your gonna have to break out your multimeter.  Start with thevplug then work back to the breaker.  Where the power dies the problem lies.

Get a multimeter and check voltage in the outlet.  Outlet could be bad.

Apparently lightning came through your wires and destroyed one of them you'll have to get an electrician to run you a new plug

Electricity can do odd things (really; it can).  So if the cord isn't in your way, and it's plugged into a GMFI outlet, you will be happy.  (Just don't use even a "heavy-duty" extension cord.)
