What important imformation did Peter recall in 2nd Peter 1;16-18?

(1 Peter 1:16-18) 16 for it is written: “You must be holy, because I am holy.” 17 And if you are calling on the Father who judges impartially according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves with fear during the time of your temporary residence. 18 For you know that it was not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, that you were set free from your futile way of life handed down to you by your forefathers.

Jehovah the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ judges us by what we do and not what we say.

Just saying "I believe in the shed blood of Jesus" is valueless, if this faith or belief is not back by obedience.

(John 3:36) 36 The one who exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; the one who disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

Support of John 3:16 that Jesus was his son....but I'm not sure Peter made it to heaven for Jesus told him saying, "Many will come to me saying i have done this and done that in your name but I will tell them I never knew you." and Peter action of killing a couple over money makes me wonder.....  

Peter did not write "2nd Peter."
