Ladies, what’s the worst birth control you’ve been on?

I was among the early users of an IUD. I had cramps and bled lightly the entire time I had it, about four months.

For me it was the pill back in the late 80's.  I bled continually the entire time I was on it and had bloating and discomfort here and there.  I was on it for about a year.

The depo shot was ok for me, better than the pill in the 80s.  I also used the sponge (my second favorite form of birth control) and I used a diaphragm for many years.  After we had our children my husband had a vasectomy (easily my favorite form of birth control).

I'm now in menopause, love it!

It's been years so I don't remember the name, but it started with a J. I could NOT escape the horrible mood swings with this one. It make me really out of control; I would be laughing, then crying, the cry-laughing, then wanting to punch a hole in the wall. I was also ravenous on this and ate everything in sight, so I gained so much weight on it. I still gave it the 4-5 months, and nothing changed, except my pant size.
