Americans don't want war against Iran and Syria.
I think Americans are afraid of Iran, and want to somehow control them, because Iran wants to develop nuclear weapons and blow Israel off the face of the Earth. They are lacking careful thought and inhibitions when it comes to violent acts. Iran could end up destroying the Earth.
They see Iran as a "loose cannon."
