Why do so many people not know how to do laundry?
My tenants tried to put a queen size comforter in my mini top loading stackable unit
The washer is always overloaded unless it is me doing the laundry
People don't sort laundry by similar fabric type and color.
They wash jeans on the delicate cycle

I would suspect that is mainly guys. I can run any sort of machine in the machine shop, but when it comes to doing laundry, I was a dummy there having next to no experience at it. Same goes for washing windows.(I don't)

Maybe because they are too cheap to go to the laundromat. I would make a sign regarding the rules of your laundry room and also send out a letter and ask each tenant to sign and acknowledge the new rules. Make it clear no comforters or bulky items and any other rules. Also if they break it they buy it or repair it period.
