Are honey bee stings painful?

I guess it depends who I ask. Some people allergic to bees and are at risk of being killed or hospitalized due to bee stings. My Dad doesn't think bee stings hurt and a guy I knew told me he got stung by a bee and it sucked.

    Yea they sure are. I got stung by one years ago and hurt bad n swelled up. Took few days before went away

    Yeah they are very painful like someone stabbing you with a needle
