    No longer serves a purpose

Yes, but not first past the post popular vote.  I'm more in favor of a system that ensures someone with a majority of the votes, rather than a plurality, is elected.  That could end up being ranked voting, run offs, or something similar.

Listen to the republican trolls, they know they won without the popular vote twice so therefore the electoral college is great. Let the Democrats win without the popular vote and they will change their tune instantly.

And for you other idiots, New York City wouldn’t decide the election, votes decide the election, no wonder you think Trump won

It would be good to keep the Weighting of the E.C. but allocate the #'s of E.C. Votes by Popular Vote. The Winner Take all help the Status Quo Retain Power, no matter how CORRUPT they become !Even better we should have instant Run off elections so EVEYONE can vote for a NON-DEM-REP Monopoly candidate without effectively throwing away your vote !

Yes (and you get to be the one to go deliver the news to the Midwest that L.A. and NYC will now determine the outcome of every national election).

No thanks.  I think the electoral college adds some important checks and balances to process, and fortunately, there's almost no chance of it ever being replaced.

The EC makes it way more complicated than it needs to be. It defies democracy whereby everyone's vote should carry the same weight. For example, a vote in Wyoming carries several times more weight than one in Ca. Also, it defies democracy when the popular vote majority doesn't rule. These things discourage voter turnout. We should be encouraging it.

No, because that's the same thing as saying, should the USA be dissolved?

The States would never have entered into the repubic if the Consitutiton was set up so that the mob gets to dictate away their freedoms, which is what the left-of-Karl Marx Democrat fascists want.

Absolutely - just add up all the votes, winner take all.

Absolutely, the popular vote is how we elect every other “leader” it is good enough for the POTUS. Even Chump hated the flawed electoral college until it saved him from getting destroyed by Hillary “the Butcher of Benghazi” Clinton. I believe in 1 legal age citizen, 1 vote.
