Should the US try to foster better, more friendly relations with Russia and China?

The US should return to isolationism and let the world solve its own problems.  

The US should take a position of strength and self promotion, a sensible one, stick to it, and not knuckle under to any nation. 

That does not mean self promotion has to come at the expense of other nations, or be unduly aggressive. It just means that the US, should put its interests first. Like any other nation does. 

Not to the point of underdog status. Maybe thats why we haven't in the past. But this bunch seems to yield completely to their whims. I wonder why. I'm all for getting along. But mistreating people around the world and people missing forever is not my idea of compromise or friendly.
