Atheists is it true that you can't prove that something doesn't exist ?

I can prove that a flying elephant doesn't exist on Earth. Because simply if it existed we would have seen it. I can prove that using the laws of probability. The probability of seeing such flying animal would be too high and not seeing it would be an impossibility. I can also prove that a second star doesn't exist in our solar system. I can also prove using science that a star with a mass similar to the mass of Jupiter doesn't exist because it would be incapable of starting fusion. I can prove that there is dinosaur inside my laptop. See it's possible to prove something doesn't exist. So why do you lie and say it's not possible ?

Update:

No one claimed that God exists on Earth. So your analogy is failed.

Laws of probability. Name a single law of probability.

You don't understand basic logic, do you.  To prove something does not exist, you have to prove it does not exist in every location and point in time.  So you would have to image the ENTIRE PLANET to the proper resolution to show that there are no flying elephants visible.  But you also have to image inside every cave, under every forest or jungle, everywhere.

"if it existed we would have seen it" - the laws of probability are not proof it doesn't exist.Yes, a star with Jupiter's mass would not be able to initiate fusion.  Yes, you can prove there is no dinosaur inside your laptop. No, atheists can't prove God does not exist for one main reason - atheists don't say God does not exist, only that we don't believe any gods do exist. So if you want us to believe in God, prove God (or any god, your choice) actually exists.

You have weird logic. You say you 'prove' there are no flying elephants because we haven't seen one. Your weird logic also applies to God, angels, and any other heavenly creatures. We haven't seen them, therefore they don't exist, just as you stated. However, your logic isn't logic at all. Just because you haven't seen something does not mean it does not exist. The issue with God is that atheists have no interest in proving he does not exist, and Christians are unable to do so.

  • While it is not possible to prove god doesn't exist, the only conclusion possible based on objective evaluation of evidence is that god does not exist.

Then you agree that since no one has ever seen a god or any evidence of one, you've proven that one doesn't exist?  Scientific standards of proof are higher than that, but since you've proven that there's no god to your satisfaction, that's fine with me.

Some negatives cannot be proven. Example; Prove that a person in US has never been to Chicago.

GOD WILL PROVE HIMSELF VISIBLY IN THE FUTURE...but if they do not get saved they will end up weeping at Judgment.

Using your faulty logic, I can prove that you do not exist because I have not seen you.

Did you say you can prove that there is a dinosaur inside your laptop?

I can prove intelligent alien life doesn't exist, because we have never seen intelligent aliens. There's been no verified sighting of intelligent alien life ever, so that proves it doesn't exist. Because if they existed we would have seen them.

Oh so i can prove that gods don't exist because if they existed we would have seen them.
