The Bible states that some will come through fear.  I certainly believe it's a good reason to come to the Lord because Jesus told us to "Fear not" and when Jesus died, He sent the COMFORTER - the Holy Spirit, to be our Helper and guide and there's nothing like having someone to turn to who is powerful and truly able to help you and turn things around for you, when you are afraid and things are going wrong.

God is not only our refuge and strength, but He is also a VERY PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried in the midst of the sea......... the Lord of Host is with us, so He says, "Be still and know that I am God. The Lord of hosts is with us and He is our refuge" (all in Psalm 46: 1- onward).

I also love Psalm 34 which has wonderful promises in from the Lord and explains how good the Lord was to David.  He sought the Lord and the Lord HEARD and DELIVERED HIM FROM ALL OF HIS FEAR (verse 4)  and God has promised to hear us and deliver us from all of our troubles (verse 17) because His eyes are open to the righteous and His ears are always open to our cry (verse 15) and He is always near to those who have a broken heart so He will save such as have a contrite spirit (verse 18), for many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all (verse 19).

Besides, without Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you will die and in eternity be thrust into Hell's flames of torment forever and ever; whereas if you become one of God's true children in the faith through Jesus Christ the One who died on the Cross for our sins, you will be SAVED FOR ETERNITY, and spend forever and ever in heaven with Him.

The choice is entirely yours but I know which I have chosen.  Choose you this day whom you will serve.

NOW is the time, TODAY is the day of your salvation.  In an acceptable time, God has heard you and in the day of your salvation, He will help you. (1 Corinthians 6:2)

So don't hesitate.  Repent of your sins and ask Jesus Christ to be your Saviour.  I have never regretted the day I converted because God will NEVER leave you nor forsake you

Christians spend their entire lives afraid of the dark but that is not a good reason to become one.

    We're all afraid. Everyone.

If you believe that becoming Christian or religious of any kind will help you overcome your fears then sure. To better yourself is an excellent reason to become Christian. It's as good as any reason.

I'm afraid all of the time. I'm a rather brave person too, I've been skydiving, rally driving, I've done a great many risky things to show that I'm brave. But I'm still afraid of so much too. I'm afraid of being alone, I'm afraid of being seen for who I am, I'm afraid of being loved and cared for. But even though these things are scary I realise they're things I need to overcome. This is something all people face day-to-day.

So be afraid. But recognise that you're afraid, embrace that and take comfort from the fact that you're not alone in being afraid. And if you do become Christian you can take comfort in the fact that I'm sure God loves you even in your worst moments when you feel like nobody else does. God will be there for you.

I hope you stay strong against your fears and enjoy your life. I wish you the best.

Source(s): I got rather preachy there. If you're curious I'm actually agnostic. I don't believe nor disbelieve in the existence of a God. I just think that we don't know and there's a high possibility that we will never know.
