You could think of it as the "next level" of organic farming.
It includes most of the principles of organic farming, but adds some additional ones on top of it.
In my opinion, a lot of it's principles make sense, but some are a bit "out there." It includes things like following astrology and moon phases in the timing of planting, and other spiritual or occult theories. It's big in Germany, where most of the global biodynamic acreage is.
