Can I download a bootable Windows 10 setup (disc image?) download from a Mac onto a USB drive to try to resurrect my PC? ?
I seem to have bricked my PC. Endless circles of not being able to repair anything and Windows not launching. I thought I had a bootable USB already (from when my computer first started going wonky) but it isn’t working (and the diagnostics show no OS on my PC). The only other computer in the house is a Mac. I’m assuming it’s okay to download a Windows installer since it’s just a package being moved around, but thought I would check just in case (plus it’s the husband’s Mac and I can’t get my hand on it until later anyhow).
Also, is this the right thing to download? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/... And will there be an option to not delete my files when installing? Right now I need the files more than the computer! (I have an almost complete backup but it’s a couple weeks too old).

YES - Go to a Microsoft Web Site "Media Creation Tool" Click on Download Tool Now. (second option on that page) then run the Tool It will download the current version of Windows 10 and place it on a USB stick which you can boot from.
When running the Tool there are several options so read them and select the right one to download and place onto a USB stick.
