If every person on a cruise ship 🛳 caught corona virus 🦠 what would happen?
Would the ship be left to become a “ghost ship” and essentially be a modern “Flying Dutchman” and would it just drift aimlessly on the ocean forever?
What would likely happen?

We don't have to guess what would happen because it happened on the Diamond Princess. Roughly 20% (700 out of 3700) of those onboard tested positive and 14 people (2% of those infected) died. The BIG impact of COVID is not how deadly it is, but that it shows how poorly prepared we are when it comes to fighting pandemics.

That happened this spring, when some people were trapped on cruise ships in the ocean for a few months. Not everyone on board contracted COVID. Most of those who did recovered. A few very sick people were airlifted off the ship and taken to hospitals. People don't just stay sick with COVID forever, you know. Hundreds of thousands around the world have recovered.

The majority of people would recover; some would die.
It would depend on staff, medical facilities, food and water, and whether they were able to dock anywhere.

They'd all be sick.
Drift endlessly? Yes because in this day and age we still have no means of finding a gigantic ship floating aimlessly in the ocean.

It would be quarantined for two weeks or so, and a small part of the people on it would die
