Are Americans brain washed by media reports ?

I see so many Americans posting rubbish about Australia having so many animals that kill or eat you.

I have visited the country 3 times and never come across any.

Over the years I have been in discussions with many people on travel to countries around the world. I must say it does seem that Americans have a dim view on every country bar their own.

Well, gee let's see. Crocodiles, various species of poisonous spiders that can kill you if bitten like the funnel-web spider ( most venomous in the world), snakes like Eastern Brown snake ( 2nd most venomous in the world), the Taipan, the Tiger snake, the Common Death Adder, the Red Bellied Black snake. And should you decide to take a dip in the ocean you need to avoid stepping on a Stone Fish a venomous fish that tends to be found in shallow water, the box jellyfish whose stinging tentacles have been known to cause death in humans and the lovely sea snakes oh and don't forget about saltwater crocodiles which tend to be much more aggressive than the freshwater kind! While it is true that none except the crocs will eat you all of the creatures are more than capable of killing a person, especially if you are a long distance from medical help. If all that doesn't get you the heat may very well do it. Then the ants will eat you!
