Why do family-based people get offended when childless people express joy in their happily childless lifestyle?

    Because they don't have the freedom the childless folks do.

    Because they do not understand how people can be happy being childless.

    I think a lot of it is jealously.  A good number of kids were accidents and their parents didn't plan them so when they lose their ability to live a happy childless life, they get jealous at those of us who don't have and don't want kids.

    Certain people when stuck in a rut would rather you be in the rut with them instead of just climbing out.
