Minimal deflection, but then you could not have much with a worm burner frame.

Ummm... It will compress under load from the motor... If it actually worked. Assuming it is welded up and rigid and just for show.

There are different forces on the rear tire than on the front. The front springer is basically a spring shock absorber designed to soften the forces that are present on the front wheel as it moves forward on the road. The rear wheel is a follower and it sees different forces. Mostly up and down forces. You could use springs in a vertical application, but typically one uses the newer liquid filled shock absorbers to do that job. If you want the look, then installing spring overs onto the shock absorbers would accomplish that look.
