Early restoration  of licence?

Hi everyone  , ok so I'm from Ireland and lost my driving licence due to drink driving ok I accept a stupid thing to do , I realised alcohol was a problem and went to rehab and havevt drank for some time now  , anyway I'm applying to get my licence back early as I got a three year ban and can apply to get it back after 2 years. The only thing I'm worried about i was out with a friend one night we were walking home late one night when stopped by police , we were standing talking to someone they thought we were acting suspicious and asked our names we refused as we hadn't committed an offence as that's the law in Ireland,  so they took us for a drug search neither of us had anything and were not charged but would that go against me kn trying to get my licence back? Would that be seen as something that could prevent that? Any help would be appreciated,  I'm not one to be in trouble so just curious , thanks for your time

As you were not cautioned, there is no written record that is registered against you, just the garda notes which are internal paperwork for the garda

There is NO SUCH THING as getting your driver's license restored early.

The event you claim DID NOT happen as you describe. If the police ask your name, and you refuse, they ALWAYS find a defensible reason to take you to headquarters until you are properly identified. Besides, if it happened as you describe, they COULDN'T count it against you, because they don't know it was you.

They don't even know your name.  Don't worry about it.

since you weren't even cautioned, it won't come up
