Where to go from Paris for 2-3 days before heading to Oktoberfest.?

A friend and I scored real cheap tickets from the US to Paris.  We have about a week there, but both of have been to much of France already.  We ve also spent tons of time in Ireland, England and Italy.  We know we re spending 3-4 days in Munich for Oktoberfest.  Where else should we go for a guys trip that will be relatively cheap but have good nightlife.

You can get a TGV train from Paris to Barcelona in Spain for around 35€. Or get a short-haul flight, but the check-in time and then getting out of Barcelona airport and into the city make the TGV into the heart of Barcelona a better option. Usually cheaper as well, and you get to see France and the Pyrenees whizz past.

Or you could take a far more direct and shorter journey to Amsterdam in Holland. It’s nowhere near as nice as Barcelona though, and the food in Barcelona is vastly superior.

Or do as someone else suggested: pass right through Germany and visit Prague. It’s a stunning city and has low prices but it does tend to get filled with rowdy drunken stag and hen parties at weekends.

My final suggestion is to see a bit more of Germany by visiting Berlin. Another amazing city and so pivotal to much of the major history of Western civilisation over the last century.

get a flight to barcelona ..great city ...if not ..look up FUTURESCOPE   south of limoges ...you can get there by train ....disneyland for adults

Octoberfest ended in early October.

No where in western Europe is cheap.

Go to Prague instead.  It is a cheap two hour flight.  Hotels are a little less than in western Europe but food & drink (especially beer) are both great plus a LOT less than in western Europe
