    Verizon closed it down more than a year ago.

    Instant messenger no longer exists. It was closed in July 2018: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN28776.html

    According to Sharon, Yahoo Messenger was removed in 2016.

    Verizon TERMINATED it on July 18 or 19, 2018, over a YEAR ago is what happened. Yahoo terminated IM in 2013. Verizon also disabled personal email. Between YA community members more than 2 years ago.
