Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Ultimate with AWD - transmission problems?

The car hesitates before accelerating, sometimes a second or two and then shifts erratically. Anyone else have this?

Nope I don't have that problem. If it isn't due to low fluid level [when did you last check it if ever?] then take it to a Hyundai mechanic and have it diagnosed. It could be a faulty ECU board or it needs a software update or it could be a problem with the transmission itself

Did you have all the recalls done?

I had a 2011 Sonata and there were several recalls for software updates.

If so, get the engine and trans hot, like highway driving, check the trans fluid according to manual. It 'sounds' low.

Hyundai recommends trans fluid change at 60,000 miles. It's around $300 at Hyundai dealer and it's worth it.
