should labor unions be destroyed?

when the nazis came to power in germany in 1933 the absolute first thing they did was to get rid of all independent trade unions. their leaders were arrested, their assets were liquidated, their headquarters seized and destroyed. the right to strike as well as collective bargaining was lost overnight.

without labor unions impeding economic progress, germany was the first country to pull itself of the great depression and outpaced the united states and all other european states in job creation, and growth from 1933-to 1939.

I suggest that trump pass legislation that would destroy those unions in one swift crushing blow.

without unions getting in the way, america is headed toward a golden economic expansion.

    Yeah... fuсk the workers, eh?

Democratic socialism means we must create an economy

That works for us all, not just the very wealthy.

    Democratic Socialism isn't Free Stuff.

It's getting what you paid for with your taxes

Rather than giving it a away to War and Corporate Subsidies.

Socialism doesn't mean taking wealth from those

Who work hard and giving it to those who don't.

    You're thinking of Capitalism 😎

John Steinbeck: Socialism never took root in America because the poor there see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

My personal experience with unions: They protect the workers, make sure workers have more pay, make sure they have good insurance, good raises. My personal experience without unions: less pay but same amount of bid on the job so the EXTRA money goes to the bosses instead of the workers, no worker safety isnt enforced, crappy insurance, no raises..............so as a worker, why would you want unions to disappear? Unless you are the boss of the company.

I can only say that in the UK they declared the unions were destroying manufacturing. Pretty much got rid of the Union and manufacturing still went down the tubes.

The only reason why labour laws exist is because some union somewhere fought for the rights of workers.

Minimum wage, vacations with pay, statutory holidays, etc., etc. All thanks to some worker who was willing to walk the picket line for weeks without pay for fair treatment.

Union contracts are outside of the law.. and are the catalyst to form new ones.

Pretty sure stealing money from a lot of hard working people like the Jews is what helped the Nazis get out of the depression. Trump has a Jewish son-in-law, Ivanka I think converted, and he has Jewish grandchildren. As much as I hate Trump, I doubt he'll ever become an anti-Semite (he already hates plenty of other groups as it is).

Also, unions were most powerful in America in the 50s and 60s, the same time America was the most economically prosperous. Unions declined, and so did America. Unions are now weakened, conservatives tout America as the richest nation, yet American blue collar workers struggle to make ends meet.

Let's make labor unions great again!
