Does anybody believe that Prince Harry's charities were his idea rather than something thought up by more intelligent Palace press people?

    Plenty of people believe this. They are the same people who assert that the monarchy does not draw on public funding; that Prince William earned his wings and that Edward VIII abdicated for love.

    Could easily be a combination. Maybe Prince Harry said 'I wish I could get more involved in charity work like my mother' and his assistants said 'Sure, let's find something suitable' and it took off from there.
