Martin Luther King advocated extreme government intervention. He was significantly responsible for trading black peoples' autonomy for government assistance.
King and Malcolm X clashed because Malcolm warned about blacks trading their freedoms for freebies. Malcolm X was a segregationist because he (rightly) suspected that the white man (the white devil, as he labeled him) would attempt to co-opt the black man. The government indirectly proposed that the black man trade his demands and protesting for government welfare.
The very thing Malcolm X warned about came to pass. The black race also gave up their autonomy when the government became the de facto father of the black family. Black men were thrown in jail or not needed because the government offered welfare to black families. This is the essence of government paternalism and the supplanting of families and parental rights.
Malcolm X is often vilified in school texts, but the state of black America in 2019 shows he was vindicated.

Malcom X has often been credited with giving the black community their "manhood".
He was against the civil rights movement of integration. He promoted a black supremacy movement which emphasized seperation and self rule.

Yes and civil rights. Black people or African Americans are equal to White Americans.
