She seemed to genuinely care about people and worked hard to make things better, she actually made an effort, and she was a devoted mother where most people in the royal family just let nannys raise their kids, she liked to be normal but understood her 'power' and honored it rather than use it to ruin people or use it for nothing, she was selfish

Her proper title was Diana, Princess of Wales, since she assumed her status through marriage.

Diana was different than the rest of the senior royal women. She was tall, fashionably coiffed and dressed, as opposed to the shorter Windsor top royal women, the Queen. Queen Mother,Princess Margaret and Princess Anne, who were older, and staid in their fashions.

Diana was also seen as warm and friendly, a trait shared with the popular Queen Mother, another woman who had married into the family. Both women had the ability to make the person they were talking to feel that they, Diana and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, cared.

As Diana figured out her role as Princess of Wales, she chose charities that were care-based: the elderly, children, the homeless, the sick: Diana was the first British royal to tackle the AIDS/HOV crisis, shaking hands with patients to show others that the disease was not spread through casual contact. Diana's earlier interest in supplying the injured with prosthetics would eventually lead her to discover the cause behind many of these injuries, abandoned land mines. a cause taken up later in her career.

Diana also had an interest in the arts and popular music and entertainment, something many people shared with her.

People only saw the public Diana, not the private Diana, who, as a complete human being, could be quite unreasonable and difficult, with the ability to cause troubles and pain.

Charisma, beauty, fashionable hair, clothes, make up, a friendly attitude helped make Diana seem special.

She cared about people who were disadvantaged. She showed an empathy for the sick, that no other member of the Royal Family had ever shown. She cared about homeless people and took her sons to see how they lived on the streets. Some will say that it was for publicity well, of course it was, does anyone really think, that the press and T.V would report on Mr or Mrs Joe Bloggs going to visit the homeless!? She had a very easy manner, people could talk to her and she would listen to them.
