How do I cope with my sister?

Question

I hate my sister. This isn’t just a little bit of sibling bickering she’s just a horrible person she’s 17 nearly 18 and I’m 21, I’m hoping it’s just her age but a good way to describe her would be nasty, selfish, arrogant, spiteful and a lot more, she takes my things, I know this is a pretty universal sibling problem but she just takes it to far, she’s taken, clothes, underwear, makeup, money pretty much anything I buy she’s so bad my bf has said he doesn’t want to get me any clothes or makeup or anything like that for Christmas cause he knows she’ll take it she’s rude every night she’s on face time until gone midnight when I ask her repeatedly not to cause I have work and all I get is shut the f*ck up or pipe down or anything else along them lines (we share a room🙃) she’s constantly telling me to move out when I don’t think she knows how much that actually costs she’s just a nasty person and I don’t actually feel bad for saying I don’t like her I don’t think you should have to get on with someone just because you’re related but whilst I do have to live with her I was wondering if anyone is in a similar place and what they do to help them stay sane 🙃

Surely you have some friends that you could be roommates with?   Split costs.  Heck you could get a 1 bedroom and one take the living room as a bedroom and the other take the bedroom (person who has bedroom pays more rent)    or something!

i would nnove out so you dont have to cope with her, if you dont have the nnoney you can always stay in a shelter and resorts also take in people that dont have a place to stay, i know cause i used to work in those places

If you don't like your emotional reactions to your sister, learn how to change your emotional reactions. That is what cognitive-behavioral psychology is all about.

No sense making yourself miserable when you don't have to.
Yes, it is difficult to change ourselves.
But it is IMPOSSIBLE to change others.
So the odds of success are much higher if your goal is to change yourself.

So I lived with 9 brothers and sisters and all I can tell you is how things ended up being because it sounds like the same thing.Their is big tots in the store and treasure boxes one is $5 and the other is $23-$25 and mom and dad gotton all of us them with a pad lock and our things where locked up and then you add the price of things over time not showing up missing you can buy things off your list you need and that is what happened with all the kids in the house.

I am 21 too and I wish a had your sister.
Honestly, I don't know why you can't move out if it's bothering you so much...

My sister called the cops on me and lied cause she was upset with me, right after going into my room a taunting me trying her best to get me to hit her. I had to go threw court bs and it was so stressful.
She had already called the cops 2 times that week and lied. 
Now she is a stripper and flashes over $1,000 cash almost every time I see her.

It's just about being the gatekeeper to your own life and deciding who can be in it or not.
Wile I give her small chances she won't ever be a real part of my life until she sorts her sh*t out.
In your case I'm pretty sure you two would get along a lot better if you were not living together.
