If the ads wouldn't have shown her hair, what was the point of L'Oreal hiring a hijab wearing woman for a hair product ad campaign?

The ad was meant to show that L'Oréal products were meant for all women, even those who don't publicly show their hair. The tag for the ad reads "Whether or not your hair is on display doesn't affect how much you care about it." Unfortunately for L'Oréal, the model quit when old anti-Israel posts written by her were discovered. She has since deleted the posts and apologized for them.
