Why is drug synthesis often dropped from wikipedia pages?

safety would be another, say someone doesnt have 1 ingredient so they substitute another-now it could be dangerous for not working or even toxic. Quality control-remember when eye drops were contaminated with amoeba? Some one just making a drug has no quality control. Stability-cant even begin to address the hazards with that. Contamination. And proprietary formulas (patents)
