Go to a place where there is no light pollution...maybe at a state park or mountain top.

WHICH tri-state area/ Right where the Oklahoma panhandle, New Mexico and Colorado meet is very good dark sky area , but you need to be away from any town. That includes Boise City , Oklahoma AND Kenton Oklahoma, Even THEN you Still will have SOME artificial light pollution, including the headlights of other vehicles.
