Extraterrestrials are spirits ?

Seeing as spirits materialize at random and UFOs do exactly the same, then the Biblical "test the spirits" (1John4:1-6) would apply to testing the character level of these aliens.

Update:

The question is: who has any comment in this hypothesis. If aliens disappear and reappear, and spirits do exactly the same, then what would be the separation of difference?

The late Dr. Donald H. Menzel, a Harvard astronomer, and Philip Klass, former senior editor of Aviation Week, are among those who affirmed that UFO’s are actually IFO’s (identified flying objects) On a closer look, they have turned out to be identifiable things or effects, such as weather balloons, nighttime advertising airplanes, satellites, helicopters, meteors, sun dogs, ball lightnings, plasma etc.

"Philip Klass explained UFO’s as natural phenomena or as incorrect identifications. As an example, according to him, some UFO’s were suspected of being a kind of ball lightning, or a plasma. His critics were quick, however, to say that plasmas, or highly ionized gases, can have very short lifetimes and do not adequately explain the problem. He says that some UFO’s seen on radar are artifacts of weather phenomena. However, according to some radar operators, this explanation does not account for the seemingly intelligent behavior sometimes observed. Klass’s thought is that people who are suddenly exposed to a brief unexpected event “may be grossly inaccurate in trying to describe precisely what they have seen.""

In many of the cases observerd, though, when reviewing the mental or psychological experiences of some who have reported contacts with UFO’s, it is also possible to recognize similarities with spiritistic or other paranormal phenomena. For example, John H. Andrews in his book The Extraterrestrials and Their Reality, on acknowledging the help in producing the book, stated: “Great appreciation also goes to the four space people who told me their stories and who wished to remain unnamed, to the numerous psychics and channels who assisted me with my many experiments, to the extraterrestrials for their many informative messages.” Commenting more on these “space people,” he also said: “They were all quite intelligent; all were channels for invisible entities.”- Compare 1 Samuel 28:7, 8; Ephesians 6:12.

The Scriptures you´ve mentioned, namely, 1 John 4:1-6, can also have the meaning, "test the inspired statements." In fact, verse 1- says "do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God."

How do the messages of those "space people" measure up to the Bible´s message? Well, some of these are: “There is no such thing as death. . . . There is no such thing as good or evil. [Compare Genesis 3:3, 4.] . . . Creation, evolution, and reincarnation are valid processes at work in the Universe. . . . We (the ET’s) are not here to control or rule you, but to guide you. . . . The Earth will soon undergo tremendous, cataclysmic changes. When these changes are completed, less than 1/1,000 of the present population will still be alive!”

Who would try to contradict the Bible´s message, and still claim to be beings with good intentions toward mankind? Ed Conroy, in his book Report on Communion, states that “serious ufologists [those who study UFO’s] with training in the psychological and social sciences” include comparative studies of “‘bedroom visitors,’ ghosts, poltergeists, apparitions, religious visions, and what have been regarded as demons.” And while many of those who claim to be "ETs" seem to give the illusion of being in a spacecraft, other ufologists and "ETs" affirm that using spaceships to travel is mostly unnecessary. They say that these beings can travel invisibly, appear, disappear, go through walls, and project spectral forms anywhere on earth without arriving in spacecraft.

Since the Bible warns us that Satan and his demons are intent on misleading, and deceiving "the whole inhabited earth," (Re 12:9) offering false solutions to mankind, more and more people are falling victims to their deceptive statements and acts. At 1 Timothy 4:1,the apostle foretold well ahead in advance: "“In later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons.”

What is even more interesting, it´s not the fact that some Christians are deceived. Even people in the spiritistic religions fall prey to their lies without realizing it. I watched the report of a lady who was some kind of medium for many decades. First, the entity presented himself to her as an "orixa", a spirit entity from Africa. Now, the entity came back after she abandoned her spiritistic religion and told her that he´s not really an "orixa" but an extradimensional being, an "ET." Naively, she cannot understand that she´s really dealing with a deceptive spirit, a demon. What a terrible mistake on her part!

Spirits? They're obsolete. I find it easier to imagine that UFOs are projections or time-probes from Earth's future. ...incorporeal time-travel using a technology we haven't even begun to understand.

Actually, I'm more comfortable with the notion of biological extra-terrestrials.

Very interesting hypothesis. How do you intend proving it?

I will have to say that some aliens might actually be 'extraterrestrial'

since they may not need anything like a planet on which to exist and continue to be manifest.

If these entities are what our distant ancestors thought were "angels" ... I wouldn't be surprised.

UFOs are probably demons. They appear to the same people prone to seeing demons/ghosts.
