Is this a PG&E scammer?
Do PG&E leave bright green paper at people's doors? The paper says that an inspection worker came by to inspect my
gas lines while no one was home, and therefore my gas lines will be shut off unless I make payments for another inspection. I didn't receive any calls, mails, and emails about a gas line inspection in my home. I called the number on the paper and left an angry voicemail and haven't gotten any calls back for days.
I found out it is a scam because as I read the info on the paper again, there are typos and scare tactic words. And I met with a real PG&E worker who inspects gas meters and showed them the paper and they said they have never seen such a paper given out by them.

They CAN'T charge you for not being home when they send an inspector unless you had a SCHEDULED appointment for that time. It can't hurt to INDEPENDENTLY find contact information for PG&E and verify tht this is a scam, but I put the odds of it being a scam north of 99%.

Probably a scam - to get into your house, "inspect" your furnace, and then tell you that you need a new furnace, and then offer to sell you a new furnace for several times its actual worth.
It's a scam that's been going on here in Canada for a while.
