I know the answer is false, but I can't figure out what's the correct answer.
Q: The sample space for 'placing 3 balls in 4 cells' consists of 27 points. True or False. If false, state and explain the correct answer.

There are 4 cases where only 1 cell is empty, 4 cases where 3 cells are empty, and 12 cases where two cells are empty. Seems like a total of 20 points. (The 12 cases where two cells are empty comes from choosing which of 4 cells contains exactly 1 ball, and then choosing which of the remaining 3 cells contains exactly 2 balls.)
My answer: 20 points
