Why is the feeling of scratching paper so unpleasant?

You know how the erasers on pencils wear down? Occasionally the metal part will scratch onto the paper, causing a very unpleasent feeling. I will have the extreme urge to drop the pencil and squeeze my fingernails together. It's very unpleasant and I can't find any google searches related to it. Anyone who can relate or anyone who knows why this happens?

No, I don't know what you mean; that's all you.

It's not normal but there is an explanation.

What you feel is entirely up to your brain.

This is a form of evolution. Only time will tell if this phenomenon proves to be advantageous.
