Will traffic in Chicago be congested on Saturday July 1, 2017?
I am traveling from Cleveland to Chicago for a wedding. I plan to leave around 6 am and hope to get to our hotel (Palmer House Hilton in the Loop near the north side of Millenium Park).
My goal is to arrive at the hotel around noon.
With it being a holiday weekend, do you think traffic will be congested? Should I leave Cleveland earlier than 6 am? I can't leave Friday night. :-(

According to mapquest that drive is about 5.5 hours. You will gain an hour coming to Chicago. So you should be about on time for your noon arrival.
That area coming out of Indiana into Illinois and Chicago is alway a gamble. I drove it many times with my daughter in college in Indiana. It can be backed up for no good reason at all. Other times when I am sure I will hit traffic it is smooth sailing.
If you want to stop for a break or plan for traffic, you may want to leave at 5/5:30

If you are traveling on I-80/I-90 in Indiana, then be aware that there is major construction. I just went through it this past weekend and it was horrible. I do not know whether it will be done and cleaned up by July, so check before you leave.
There shouldn't be a whole lot of traffic, once you are in Chicago on Saturday morning; in the afternoon, however, it may be a different story.

you should be fine on the highway until you get to Chicago. traffic could be slowed down miles before you get to the Illinois border / city limits.
it takes around 5 and a half hours anyway on a good day to get to Chicago. that's without stops too. if you plan to stop, it doesn't hurt to leave earlier.
